Slingshot vs Quo
A Quo alternative. With a phone menu on every plan.
Quo, formerly OpenPhone, is excellent at texting and at giving each person their own number. Slingshot is built around the call: a greeting that answers, departments that ring together, and a desk phone if someone wants one. Here is how they compare.
7-day free trial, no credit card. US$5 a person a month after that.

Pick Slingshot if callers need a menu
On Quo, a phone menu, call transfers and group calling start on the Business plan. On Slingshot, a greeting that routes callers and departments that ring together come with every plan, including the cheapest one.
Pick Quo if your customers mostly text
Quo texts US and Canadian numbers today, on every plan. Texting on Slingshot is still in build. If most of your customers reach you by text, Quo is the stronger product right now.
Pick Slingshot if reception wants a desk phone
Quo runs on its mobile and desktop apps. Slingshot does too, and on Pro it also works with any SIP-enabled device: the handset at your front desk, the conference unit in the boardroom, the intercom at the door.

A number is personal. A business line belongs to the business.
Quo is very good at the conversation that happens in text, and at giving each person a number of their own. For a founder working alone, a number of your own is exactly right.
The phone is where a customer decides whether to trust you.
Once there is a team, the number your customers call has to belong to the business. When someone moves on, the customers they looked after should keep reaching you, not a number that left with them. On Slingshot the business owns the line and each person has an extension on it, so a departure changes a setting, not your customer list.
We hold ourselves to the standard we are selling. Every row Quo wins is marked in the table, and if most of your customers text rather than call, we would point you to Quo today.
Slingshot is built and run by dgNetrix Communications, a phone company since 2006, by people who have been in telecom since 1998. We know what the contract, the install and the paperwork cost, which is how we know none of it needs to be in your way.
Moving from Quo.
Can I bring my Quo number?
Yes. Porting it in costs nothing, and we show you the date Quo's carrier gives us rather than leaving you guessing. Leave your Quo account running until the number lands with us, so calls never fall through a gap.
Quo says it holds numbers for 60 days after a cancellation, but do not rely on that window. Move first, then cancel.
Can I keep texting customers?
Not yet. Texting is in build and will arrive on Pro, and we will publish the details the day it ships. If texting is how most of your customers reach you, wait for it before you move.
Does everyone get their own number?
On Quo, every person comes with a number. On Slingshot, the business has a number and each person has an extension on it, which is what most callers expect from a business line. Extra numbers are an add-on on Pro when a person or a location needs one.
What replaces Quo's AI agent?
Not yet. AI that answers calls is coming to Slingshot, and we will publish the details when it ships. Today a greeting picks up when nobody can, sends callers where they need to go with a key press, and every voicemail arrives in your inbox transcribed. If you want a conversation with an AI right now, Quo has one.
Is Slingshot cheaper than Quo?
For a team that needs a phone menu, yes, by a wide margin: compare Pro with Quo Business in the table. If you only need a number per person and texting, Quo Starter is close to Pro in price and does more of what you need right now.
Be the business that picks up.
