A business line for home services

The office line. In the office and on the road.

Add the app to the phones your admins and estimators already carry. The office and the field each ring their own people, and every call goes out as the business.

7-day free trial, no credit card. $5 a person a month after that.

What you get with every account

7-day free trial

Try everything, pay for what you keep. No credit card to start.

Number in under a minute

It's provisioned while you're still reading the screen. Then add the app and take calls.

No contracts

Month to month. No term, no auto-renew, no cancellation fee.

No setup fees

No activation charge, nothing to buy. The number you see is the number you pay.

What you get

Everything the office phone should do. Nothing your estimators have to manage.

Estimators call out as the business

The app dials from the company's number, so customers save the business line instead of a personal mobile. When someone moves on, their customers are still calling a number you control.

Two offices, one line, both ring

Put people in departments and every phone in that department rings at once. An admin in one state and an admin in another hear the same call, and whoever is free picks up.

Voicemail you can read between jobs

Every message is transcribed and emailed: who called, when, how long, and a written version of what they said. The question stops being how many calls we missed and starts being which one to return first.

Answers before the first truck rolls out

A greeting picks up when nobody can and sends new work one way and existing jobs another. No answering service, and nobody standing between your customer and your office.

Keep a desk phone in the office

Desk phones work on Pro, including standard SIP phones you already own. The people who want a handset on the desk keep one, and everyone in the field carries the same line in their pocket.

Taking calls today

Your number works the moment you finish the form, so the office can start the same afternoon. Moving the line you already advertise runs in the background and we handle it for you.

Need call queues, a year of retention or an SLA? From $25 a person a month, and we set it up with you. Talk to us and we'll tell you where you land.

Why we built it

The office books the estimate. Then the job leaves the building.

A home services business runs on two phones that do not talk to each other. There is the office line, the one on the truck, the sign and the website, answered by whoever is at a desk. Then there is the estimator's mobile, which is the number every customer they have ever quoted actually calls.

The estimator is on the road. The call still has to reach them.

The split stays invisible until it costs you. Somebody with a question about a quote calls the cell phone of a person who is up a ladder, and nobody in the office knows the call happened. An estimator leaves, and the customers they quoted keep calling a number that walked out the door. Two calls land at once and one of them goes to a voicemail nobody plays until Monday.

Slingshot puts both phones on one line. It belongs to the business, it rings the phones your people already carry, calls go out as the company no matter who dials them, and anything nobody catches arrives as an email you can read. No hardware in the office, no contract, and nothing to learn beyond an app.

Slingshot is built and run by dgNetrix Communications, a phone company since 2006, by people who have been in telecom since 1998. We know what the contract, the install and the paperwork cost, which is how we know none of it needs to be in your way.

Questions

The things people ask before they sign up.

Will it hold up for people out in the field?

It runs over the same connection your crew already uses for maps, texts and photos from a job site. If that works where they are, calls work where they are. The honest limit is the one their phone already has: no signal, no call.

When somebody is out of coverage or off shift, their phone simply does not ring, and the greeting and the voicemail catch it instead. Start the trial and let whoever is most doubtful make the first calls. That argument is settled faster by one call than by anything we can write here.

Can we tell which calls came from our advertising?

Partly, and we would rather be exact about which part. Every plan includes call history and monthly reports, so you can see what came in, what was answered and what was missed. A greeting menu can separate new work from existing jobs, which is usually the split that matters when you are paying for leads.

What it does not do is connect to your CRM or your ad accounts and attribute a lead for you. If that is what you need, tell us what you run and we will tell you plainly whether it is coming.

Do our estimators need a call queue?

Usually not. A department rings everyone in it at once, on every plan, and for a handful of estimators that is the whole job: whoever is free answers first, and the rest stop ringing.

A queue is different. It holds callers in line and hands them out one at a time. That is a step past the plans on this page, and it is something we set up with you rather than something you switch on. You do not need one until calls are stacking up faster than your people can answer them.

Do I need to buy any hardware?

No. Slingshot runs on the phone already in your pocket. Install the app, scan a code, take calls.

If you want something on a desk, Pro works with any SIP-enabled device, including the ones you already own. Desk phones, conference units, door entry intercoms: if it speaks SIP, it connects.

What's actually in the free trial?

Seven days with the full Pro feature set and no credit card. It's a real working business number that rings, not a demo environment.

Three things wait until you activate: adding extra numbers, transferring a number in, and outbound calling past 100 minutes. Everything else is switched on.

How do I know which plan I'll end up on?

You don't choose one up front, and you can't get it wrong. As you set things up, the panel shows what your bill would be at today's setup. If you switch on something that moves you to Pro, it tells you at that moment, names the price, and lets you undo it.

You land on the plan that matches what you actually built.

Can more than one person answer the same number?

Yes. Put people into a department, sales or service or the front desk, and every phone in it rings at the same time. Whoever is free picks up.

Starter includes two departments. Pro has no limit.

Can I bring my existing number?

Yes, and it's free on every plan. You sign the transfer authorisation on screen, we file it with your current provider, and we show you the date they give us rather than leaving you guessing.

You can set up where the number rings before it even arrives, so the day it moves across nothing changes for the people calling you.

Don't cancel your current service first. Cancelling releases the number back to your provider, and once that happens it may be gone for good. Keep the line active until the transfer completes.
Can I text from my business line?

Not yet. Texting is in build and will arrive on Pro, and we'll publish the details the day it ships rather than before.

Carriers require every business number to be registered before it can send a message, which is the step we're working through now. We'd rather tell you that than put a date on someone else's approval.

Will you connect to the software we already use?

Yes. The platform is API-driven, so the connections are possible to build, and we work through them in the order customers ask for them.

Tell us what you run, whether that's HubSpot, Salesforce, a booking system or something we've never heard of. Nothing is connected today, so you'll get a straight answer on where yours sits instead of a maybe.

We run more than one business. Can they share an account?

Yes, and many of the companies we run do exactly that. Each business gets its own number, answering with its own greeting, on one account. The people underneath are shared, so someone who works across two brands has one extension and one app rather than two.

That needs Pro, because it needs more than one business number. Plenty of companies start with everything on one number and split the brands out later.

Can the greeting answer in another language?

Yes. Record the greeting in whatever language you need and upload it, and the generator can produce a French Canadian voice if you would rather not record one.

Offering callers a choice of language needs Pro. Press one for English, two for the other sends each caller to their own set of options, and a menu that opens another menu is a Pro feature.

What happens when someone leaves the company?

Nothing you have to worry about, which is the whole point. The line belongs to the business. Remove that person and their access goes with them, while the number, the greeting and the voicemail stay exactly where they are.

Compare that to a business running on personal mobiles, where the number leaves in somebody's pocket along with the customers who call it.

When do I actually get charged?

Not until you activate. The trial takes no card at all. When you activate we charge the first month, and that date becomes your renewal date every month after.

No setup fee, no minimum, no annual commitment.

How do I cancel?

Tell us and we close the account. There's no notice period, no retention call, and no early-termination fee, because there's no term to terminate.

Month to month means we have to earn the next month. That's the deal.

Can I take my number with me if I leave?

Yes. It's your number, not ours. Ask and we release it to whoever you're moving to.

A business line you can't leave with isn't really yours, and we'd rather say that plainly than bury it.

Early access is open.

A real business number, on the phone already in your pocket, in the next few minutes.
