Numbers
Your 911 address
Every number needs a registered address, because when you dial 911 the dispatcher sees the address on file, not where you actually are.
We ask for:
- Street address: validated against the emergency address database, so it may come back slightly corrected
- Unit, suite, floor or room: required, not optional. It's what gets help to the right door.
- Name the dispatcher sees
- Callback number that reaches you
Keep it current. Because the app works anywhere, your registered address can quietly become wrong the moment you start working somewhere else. If you move, update it.
Important limits of 911 over an internet phone line: if your internet is down, a 911 call from the app may not connect. Your registered address is what's sent, not your actual location.
